Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Pacific Relocation is a boutique relocation agency serving the North American West Coast, with a presence in West End, Vancouver, British Columbia and Capitol Hill, Seattle, Washington. We operate as Your Main Guy Consulting Ltd., 1108 Pendrell Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6E 0C7, Canada.

2. Which law applies
We are a private-sector organization operating in British Columbia. Our handling of personal information within BC is governed by the BC Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). The federal PIPEDA applies to personal information we transfer across provincial or national borders.
We knowingly serve clients relocating from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, so we also handle personal information in line with the GDPR and UK GDPR where they apply to you.
3. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Inquiry and contact forms: name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your relocation, including origin and destination, timing, household size, employer, budget, and similar details.
- Newsletter signup: email address.
- Consultation bookings: name, email, and any notes you add when booking.
- WhatsApp, email and phone: the content of your messages and your phone number or email address.
- During an engagement: depending on the services you buy, this can extend to family members' names, dates of birth, immigration and visa status, employment details, and housing preferences.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our providers collect IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and interaction data such as clicks and scrolling. See section 6.
We do not collect health information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Under BC PIPA we rely on your consent, which may be express or implied depending on the circumstances. Submitting an inquiry form implies consent to us using that information to respond to you.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information.

Relocation partners. To deliver services you have asked for, we may share relevant details with landlords, property managers, moving companies, licensed immigration professionals, schools, and similar third parties. We share only what is needed for that specific task, and we tell you when we do.
Corporate clients. If your employer engaged us, we may report on the status and progress of your relocation to them. We will make clear at the outset what is shared.
Legal. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Cookies and tracking

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
7. Where your information goes
Most of our providers store data on servers in the United States. This means your personal information may be accessible to US courts, law enforcement and regulatory authorities under US law.
BC PIPA requires that we tell you this, and that we name someone who can answer questions about it. That person is Julien Mainguy, Director, reachable at privacy@pacificrelocation.com.

9. Security
We use reputable providers, restrict access to client files to those who need it, and use encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a breach of your personal information occurs that could reasonably be expected to cause you significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant authorities without undue delay.
10. Your rights
Under BC PIPA you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits. Note that withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer deliver our services
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you additionally have rights to erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@pacificrelocation.com. We will respond within 30 days, as PIPA requires.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at oipc.bc.ca.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
